Market Collective Recap - Part 2

Happy Monday to y'all.....


I promised to post more pics of my amazing time at Market Collective. I planned to post them yesterday, but after a very eventful week-end, I was so damn tired lol.
So here goes......


Alyshia & I met two cool guys (Jay & Joel) who were selling some tasty salsa.....



Now I love Salsa. If you remember, I made it to the Salsa Festival this summer for a day full of tasting....

So, there was no question about it, we both had to have a sample - I chose the "hottest" first, (cause I like it like that).

Market Collective Recap - Part 1

I left Market Collective today feeling extremely satisfied. There were so many wonderful tables filled with interesting & unique items that my head's spinning lol......

My thoughts on today's event:

Well, I loved the fact that a couple of guys were selling organic lemonade out front for 25 cents - crazy! (I had to grab myself a cup before I went in & - it was sooooo delicious)

Next thing I loved was the admission stamp. It was simply a "hand-drawn heart" in green marker but since I've got the word "Love" tattooed on my right wrist.....I thought that it was so fitting.

Basically there were so many lovely creative peeps in the "house" that I'm posting a little today & a little tomorrow:)


I made a purchase today of a print that I fell in love with......

I stopped by a table shared by two lovely gals that caught my eye....
There was pretty jewellery on the right & fun hair accessories on the left, so I had to take some pics....

Market Collective is Back!

What a pleasant morning! I've got a feeling that a lovely day is ahead.....
Eventhough it's early (not sure why I'm up already), the sun's already shining and the temperature is perfect.

So fitting, cause I plan to head on over to Market Collective (try to envision "a Farmer's Market meets Artistic talent") today in Kensington.(at the Old Ant Hill Fabric Store - 148 10th St NW.)

I was at the last event and loved it!!! I met some down to earth peeps who are definitely passionate about their craft! I can't wait to see what's in store today.

I'll have my camera in tow and hope to take some photos to post later~

It's Been Hot and It's Gonna Get Even Hotter!

The last couple of days have been wonderful in my city. Good-bye cold & rainy days....hello sunshine and heat!! In fact, tomorrow is going to be crazy hot and I can't wait!

Now, my post tonight may seem a little "out of place" with all my "hot" talk, but I'll be lucky to see sunny skies, straight through the week-end.

So, (since I bought another one of these to add to my collection last week for 4 bucks!!!), I've decided to talk about Summer scarfs.


I love the look of a scarf paired with a cute dress, or a tunic and tights/skinny jeans.

Tasty Treats......

I made it to the Hillhurst Farmer's Market this evening for a little browsing.
Initially, I planned to check out the vendors, swing by Kathy & Kelly
and grab some fresh fruits & produce. Well....I did check out the all the tables,
met with Kathy & Kelly (who are real cool chicks), but I didn't grab any fruits & veggies.

I meant to, but the sweet smell of baked goods called me over to a table displaying pies, breads and other sweet treats.

So I bought a loaf of fresh bread baked with bacon (it's absolutely tdf, by the way) and I picked up 2 apricot blueberry crisp squares (which melted in your mouth)




















It was absolutely delicious!


Now that I'm well fed....nothing will satisfy me more than posting some fab finds.

I got a comment today from Coco, (from Coco&Lowe) who loved my post on the "Bow Bracelets"
